Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese word that means universal (rei), life force energy (ki). It is the belief shared by many cultures in an unseen force that exists within every living being, in nature, in the universe. It is the interconnectedness of all life.

Reiki's technique heals the body, mind, and spirit. When one's life force energy is low, they are more vulnerable to stress and illness. Reiki practitioners channel healing energy from the universe and give it to their clients through the laying on of hands. This touch therapy conveys warmth, serenity and healing. It also conveys caring and love, and is as old as instinct. Reiki promotes the body’s natural ability to heal itself and restore vital energy back into balance.

What To Expect

A Reiki treatment can last from 45 to 90 minutes or can be integrated into an Acupuncture session. Most patients fall into a state of deep relaxation during the Reiki treatment. It is not uncommon to experience visions, emotions, and past or present traumatic events as they rise to the surface to be healed and released.

Michelle is a Reiki Master. In addition to offering Reiki treatments, she also teaches classes in levels I, II, and III of the Reiki training. Contact Michelle for further information on classes.
